Still Life

This piece was from my junior year drawing 1 class and one of the first still lives I have ever drawn. I learned about the techniques that make a drawing or any piece of art more realistic during this class. One technique is using soft pencils for dark shadows and hard pencils for light areas and to blend them together to make a seamless effect of value. I also learned how to use my eraser as a highlighter. I would simply erase parts of a darker area to make dramatic contrast, or more realistic. Overall, I loved this class and took a lot from it.
